Timeline for completion of House Staging from consultation to installation

As detailed above, the average time it takes for Sell in Style Property Styling to physically stage a home is between 2-4 hours on average, however, these times are exclusive of the consultation process, selecting times, loading times and of course, travel time.

Consultation: The first step of the process of booking in a job at Sell in Style is to schedule a consultation with a professional property stylist. A member of our team will then visit your property, assess its current state, discuss your goals and budget and identify potential issues associated with styling the property in order to provide solutions and best report back to the stylists to ensure they make the best styling decisions to suit the property and its needs. At Sell in Style, we are usually able to accommodate an in-person consultation with as little as 1-2 days notice, with many jobs even booked within the 2-3 day mark.

Proposal and Planning: After the consultation, the stylist will then conduct research on the property’s area and buyer demographic to inform their styling decisions and ensure styling capacities are targeted at potential buyers of the property. After this, the stylist will use the quote to create a summary list of the furniture, accessories and décor required to style the home so they can begin making physical selections from our in-house warehouse stock.

Furniture and Accessories Selection: Once the summary list has been finalised, the stylist will physically select the exact pieces of furniture, décor and accessories to enhance the property’s appeal. During these selections, the stylists will label each piece of furniture and décor to ensure logistics are able to easily identify these pieces when the time comes to load the furniture and décor into the truck to head out for installation.

Installation: Once the furniture and accessories are ready, the staging team will install them in the property. Depending on the size and complexity of the staging, this process is usually completed within the 2-4hour mark or less, with larger properties of course requiring longer installation times.

Photography and Marketing (Up to approx. 3 hours): After the staging is complete, our professional photographer/videographer will then capture high-quality images of the staged property for marketing purposes. This step is crucial for creating attractive listings and online advertisements.

Staging Period (until the property sells): The staged property remains on the market for 8 weeks, 4 weeks paid, 4 weeks free. The duration can vary depending on the current real estate market conditions, location, pricing, and other factors. On average, staged properties tend to sell faster compared to non-staged ones. We also offer discounted extensions for homeowners who haven’t been able to sell their property within the 8 week term.
